Alom railway engineering and supply in mainline and high speed line applications. Important focus of Alom is the approval of our rail fastening systems by the track owners e.g. ProRail, Infrabel, CFL, DB, SNCF, TCDD.
Alom invests continuously in research and development to improve on existing fastening systems where possible and to design new rail fastening systems.
Rail fastening systems
For the mainline in The Netherlands (ProRail), Alom has designed the following approved systems:
AVK14 system is designed for the concrete sleeper NS90 and the rail type 54E1. This AVK14 rail fastening system complies with the ProRail specification spc. 00282.
AVK19 system is designed for fastening the rail on baseplates which are mounted on concrete sleepers or wooden sleepers. This AVK19 rail fastening system complies with the ProRail specification spc. 00281.
VK75 system is designed for fastening the rail on twin-block sleepers. This AVK75 rail fastening system complies with the ProRail specification spc. 00280.
Alom is approved supplier for rails for the Mainline network of ProRail. Rails type 54E1 can be supplied by truck or train with a maximum length of 75meter. The rails will be supplied according the ProRail specification spc. 00011.
Rail pads / Baseplate pads
Vibration control is one of the specialities of Alom. By integrating cork rubber products into the rail fastening systems, high levels of noise and vibration damping can be achieved. Corkrubber product will be supplied according to the ProRail specifications e.g. spc. 00004 for railpads and spc. 00013 for baseplate pads.
